Welcome to the Southern Gothic Festival website. By accessing this website, purchasing tickets, or attending any Southern Gothic Festival event in Camden, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. About the Festival

The Southern Gothic Festival (“Festival,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a multi-venue cultural event held in Camden, South Carolina, featuring authors, speakers, performers, vendors, and guided experiences.

These Terms & Conditions apply to:

  • All ticket holders
  • Website users
  • Vendors, sponsors, and partners
  • Attendees at any Festival-related event

 

2. Ticketing & Admission
2.1 Ticket Sales

All ticket sales are final unless otherwise stated in writing. Tickets may not be refunded, exchanged, or transferred except in the event of a Festival cancellation as outlined in Section 3.

2.2 Admission & Removal

Entry to certain Festival events requires a valid ticket, pass, or registration. Capacity limits may apply.

We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee without refund for:

Disorderly, unsafe, or disruptive behavior

Harassment or discrimination

Illegal activity

Violation of these Terms

3. Event Changes, Cancellations & Force Majeure

Festival schedules, speakers, venues, and programming are subject to change without notice.

The Festival is not liable for delays, interruptions, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Acts of God
  • Government orders or public safety restrictions
  • Public health emergencies
  • Venue closures

If the Festival is fully canceled, ticket holders may be offered, at the Festival’s discretion:

  • A refund, or
  • A credit toward a future event

Partial schedule changes do not guarantee refunds.

4. Photography, Video & Media Release

By attending the Festival, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You may be photographed, filmed, or recorded
  • Your likeness, image, or voice may be used in Festival promotional materials, press coverage, social media, or future marketing

By entering Festival venues, you grant the Festival a perpetual, royalty-free right to use such media. If you do not wish to be photographed, you must notify Festival staff at the event.

5. Code of Conduct

The Southern Gothic Festival is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.

The following behavior is prohibited:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation
  • Threatening or abusive conduct
  • Disruption of speakers, performances, or events
  • Unauthorized recording where prohibited
  • Illegal activity


Violations may result in removal from Festival venues without refund and possible exclusion from future events.

6. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

Attendance at Festival events is voluntary. By attending, you assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury
  • Illness
  • Property loss or damage
  • Travel to and from venues


To the fullest extent permitted by South Carolina law, the Southern Gothic Festival, its organizers, staff, venues, sponsors, partners, and volunteers are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages arising from attendance or participation.

7. Vendors & Third-Party Services

The Festival may host third-party vendors, exhibitors, food providers, and partners.

The Festival is not responsible for:

  • Products or services sold by vendors
  • Transactions between attendees and vendors
  • Food allergies, dietary reactions, or product defects


Attendees interact with vendors at their own discretion and risk.

8. Website Use
