Nancy Tolson
Nancy Tolson has been telling tales as long as she has been able to talk. She completed her graduate work at the University of Iowa on Black folklore and Black children’s literature. As a storyteller, Nancy tells tales throughout South Carolina. She is a regular at the (A)ugusta Baker’s Dozen Storytelling Festival (Columbia) and the Stone Soup Storytelling Festival (Woodruff) and performs at various festivals across the country. When not telling tales, Nancy is the director of undergraduate studies in the African American Studies Department at the University of South Carolina.
