Charlie Mewshaw spent several formative years in the suburbs of Raleigh, North Carolina before settling down a river basin or two further west. He has been a fan of history and tales of the unknown for as long as he can remember, and enjoys seeking out local legends and folklore. He wrote and illustrated volume 1 of the Arcane Carolinas book series, which is available on Amazon.

Charlie is the co-creator and co-host of the multi-award-winning podcast Arcane Carolinas, launched in 2020 to explore the historical context, cultural roots, and enduring lore behind ghost stories, legends, and modern mysteries from overlooked corners of the region. Through thoughtful research and engaging storytelling, the show uncovers how myth and history intertwine across the American South.
