Allison Gunn is a professional researcher, writer, and educator with a penchant for all things whimsical and strange. Her debut novel, Nowhere (Atria | March 2025), is an adult horror-thriller set in Appalachia focusing on grief, strained family relationships, and societal isolation. A proud student of Appalachian Studies at Shepherd University, Allison has extensively studied marginalized communities, folklore, and the occult.
She currently resides in the wonderfully weird land of West Virginia with her twin daughters, precocious pup, and one seriously troubled tabby.
